| You might try loading the sample file, and installing any online updates to the Money program. Then retry your own file. If your Money file was last updated with a version of the program that had these online updates installed, the original program will no longer work. | I had Microsoft Money protected with a password. I needed to reformat my computer so I moved the Money and Money backup files to an external HD. I reformatted my computer and downloaded Money 2006 (I think it was the same version as before, but I downloaded it for free without signing in to anything, so I hope it was the right thing) I moved the Money files from the external HD back to my computer. When I tried to restore the backup file, I was asked to enter a password. I know the password is correct, but it is not accepted by money. What can I do? Or how can I recover a password if the program itself reset it or something? |
