Default RE: Trouble Adding an Investment Account

Hi ..I have ran into this and got around it by setting up a new account and
it actually prompted me to answer the question...does this use XXXXX
account's sign in info..I told it no and then told it what sign in info It
was...(it used the same info but who cares)...it worked for me....good luck.

I have had no difficulty in setting up multiple company accounts with
Fidelity Netbenefits. However, I did learn at one point that not all
companies have paid Fidelity to allow the customers to remotely access their
accounts from Money or Quicken. Thus I would
1) using a separate money file make certain that you can access the account
from Money.
2) If you can access the account then you will want all of you accounts at
Fidelity Netbenefits accounts tied together by Fidelity so that the Fidelity
retirement tools will work correctly. Once you have done this you should
then have no problems from within Money.
3) If you want to leave them as separate username password then the approach
should be simply to follow the Money instructions when you set up the second
account to indicate that it is with the same FI but has a different username
and password. I did this when I added my wife's Fidelity accounts to our
combined Money files.

I didn't see another follow up for this question, so just wanted to bump the
thread, hoping someone out there can help.

Thanks

Good thought, but I had tried that as well. Actually did what you suggested
in reverse, since the accounts are with Fidelity NetBenefits, but the result
is the same. When I set up online services using my NetBenefits username /
password after telling Money it is a Fidelity Investments account, I get an
"incorrect username / password" error.

Try telling Money that the new account is at Fidelity NetBenefits
rather than at Fidelity Investments.

Default Trouble Adding an Investment Account

Ok, here is my story. I'm running Money 2006 Deluxe and have been using this
file for a while (i.e. I have a number of existing accounts set up).

I recently changed jobs, so have a new 401k through the new company. I'm
trying to get that new account added, and can't get it done.

The new account is with Fidelity, but my previous 401k account was with
Fidelity as well. At this point, I have 2 months worth of contributions into
the new 401k account, and have closed the old account (rolled into an IRA
that I have not yet set up in Money).

When I go to add the new account, the program tells me it is already
tracking an account at Fidelity and asks if this new account uses the same
SSN or Customer ID number. The new account DOES use the same SSN, so I
choose that option.

At this point, the program tells me to simply update my Fidelity account
online, and I'll see the new account in the account list. So I update on
line.

Unfortunately, the new account doesn't show up in the account list. At this
point, I'm stuck. Can anyone help with what I might be doing wrong?
