| MS have not offered Money upgrades for a very long time. So you need to buy a full version, but there are often money-back offers to ease the pain! I think what you may be referring to is the timing out of Internet services. From http://money.mvps.org/faq/article/186.aspx Microsoft Money 2006 US Microsoft® Money 2006 includes up to two (2) years of Internet-Based Services. You will be able to use the Internet-Based Services in Microsoft Money 2006 for a period of two (2) years from activation of the product or until September 1, 2008, whichever is earlier. After expiration, if you elect not to upgrade to the then-current version of Microsoft Money after the Internet-Based Services period ends, you will not be able to automatically update your accounts and investment values in Microsoft Money 2006. You will still be able to view and edit your financial data in Microsoft Money 2006 and to manually update your accounts and investment values. So Money 2006 has another year to go before Internet services are disabled. US Money 2005 "timed out" on 1st Sept (see above FAQ for other dates/versions). When the services are disabled you can no longer download files from your FI or stock/share prices. You can still do the updates by manually inputting the numbers. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | Is it not possible to upgrade MS Money from previous version like 2006 or do you just have to re-buy it if you wish to have a working version? Also, is it true that MS Money 2006 does not work? Not sure what I understand about that. What does not work in 2006 anymore? Thanks much. |
