The first entry was a Microsoft help article that contained the steps I included. <begin rantThe help files for most products are completely useless. If you're lucky, they'll contain a generic description of functions on the menu, but don't count on anything else. The description is usually something extremely helpful such as, "Print - Choose this option to print". I've always held the opinion that the built-in help file should be at least three times as big as the program, but most developers just put some sketchy information in to get the product out the door. They pay for this in customer dissatisfaction and higher support costs. I've been a developer and I've run a Help Desk. People really DO want to help themselves, but developers don't make it easy. Documentation is always done at the last minute. <end rant-- Steve B. New Life Home Improvement |

| Well, that's exactly what's confusing me. I don't currently have any invoices that have either of these products on it. The only invoices I have my Money at all are for services because of the fact I didn't end up using Money to manage my inventory. I double checked just to be sure, and all my invoices have services only added to them. | Awhile back when I first started actually using Money for business transactions I started playing with Inventory. I added a couple of products into Money under the Products & Services section. I was having some problems, although I don't remember exactly what, and I have a separate system that truly runs my inventory anyway so I gave up on it. Now I've got the idea that i'd like to go ahead and play with this again. The problem at the moment is I still have these 2 products that were created a long time ago that I can't get rid of now so I can just start over with it from scratch. My business reports are showing this inventory in stock but I don't really have it. When I try and delete the products I get the following error: <ProductName> cannot be deleted because there are invoices and/or inventory adjustments that reference it. On one of these items if I click Details it shows 0 Quantity on hand, so I'm not sure why I can't delete that one. The other item does show a Qty. on hand of 20. If I go to Descrease Inventory, though, the only options I get don't have anything to do with simply delete the thing as if you never had it. So, for now, I just wanna get these items removed some how. And then I'll have more questions on how to use Inventory in Money to the fullest. Thanks! |
