I too have discovered that I no longer can download from AMEX Canada. Credits become debits and vice versa. The QIF download cannot convert the dates properly also. -- Seymour "Peter" <garner_p[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:200f0cb.0309181242.3a20f4cd[at]posting.google.com... - quote - > "Vito Trombino" <donvito[at]rogers.com> wrote in message news:<040801c37d5b$79c0f2d0$a401280a[at]phx.gbl> ... > > I used to be able to import American Express Credit Card > > statements in QIF format with no problems. AMEX says they don't support downloads. I am having the EXACT same problem. It is with American Express Canada, which I am not sure has OFX enabled downloads. Something on their site must have changed.

Amex DOES support MS Money downloads. When you say "they" said they don't, to whom are you referring? Once again, Amex (like many other companies) hire uneducated and often untrained help, so if you ask the people at the general customer support lines such a question, they are likely to answer wrong. Sad but true. MS Money is mentioned on their web site. Go to: www.americanexpress.com, sign in to your account, and review your on-line "Statements" features. Your computer is probably set up for dd/mm/yy dates and Amex is> statements in QIF format with no problems. They do??? I am sceptical.> download fine. AMEX says they don't support downloads. I suggest going to AccountList-> SetUpAccounts-> SetUpOnlineServices for Amex. They support Money access with OFX. I don't know if you need to get set up with their customer service for Money access or not. But it will be OFX which always uses yyyymmdd dates.

I used to be able to import American Express Credit Card statements in QIF format with no problems. Now, I'm having a problem where when I import inverts the dates and type of transaction. For example. For a transaction dated June 9 for a Charge of $10 Money will import it as September 6 $10 Credit. Any ideas? I'm using MS Money 2004 and all other Credit Cards download fine. AMEX says they don't support downloads.
