| Your bank representative is simply lying (or is making it up). The money goes entirely to BOA. Depending on what state you are in, I believe that BOA has programs where if you keep a high enough minimum balance you are not charged the monthly fee. -- Peace, BobJ -- Peace, BobJ "Vadim Rapp" <vr[at]nospam.myrealbox.com> wrote in message news:O8pvS4y9HHA.3400[at]TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... - quote - > Hello, > when speaking with Bank of America about setting up Money for direct > download of transactions, I was surprised to hear that I would have to pay > $10/month - quite unusual. | Hello, when speaking with Bank of America about setting up Money for direct download of transactions, I was surprised to hear that I would have to pay $10/month - quite unusual. The rep then mentioned, however, that these dollars go not to BofA but to Microsoft, and BofA simply does not eat that - unlike all others. I remember in the times of Money 95, Money was downloading transactions by calling an 800 number - which, if I'm not mistaken, belonged to the bank. It looks like now, when download is going through the internet, it's going through Microsoft servers, and there's no other way because Money is so programmed? and the method by calling 800 number is "discontinued"? If so, I think this fact has much more merit for an anti-monopoly case that all those internet-explorer-and-whatever-else-related ones ever had. Curious, is it the same with Quicken? regards, Vadim Rapp |
