| Hi - I was just wondering why they wouldn't offer an account reconciliation option set up in the same manner as "updating retirement accounts" works. Is there some reason that it would affect capital gains reporting or some other tax functionality issue? It's very frustrating to manually reconcile a ton of investment transactions when it seems there could be an easier way! No, not the way you mean. When you download from a direct OFX> accounts. I noticed that when I look at the related investment transactions, > they don't show as reconciled. Is there a way to balance investment holdings? connection broker, then Money compares your holdings to what the statement says you hold. It will offer to adjust your holdings to match the statement. Usually it is best to note the discrepancy, and say no to Money's offer to adjust your holdings If you want to turn on the R in the C column, Ctrl+Shift+M can do that. But there is no balancing in the way there is in the cash transactions. |

| I regularly balance the cash transactions associated with my investments accounts. I noticed that when I look at the related investment transactions, they don't show as reconciled. Nor did I see a way to balance the actual investment transactions. I'm assuming this is by design but wanted to make certain. Is there a way to balance investment holdings? |
