Default RE: MS MONEY 2005

RICK H - how right you are.

The link that comes up in my version takes me to a site that does not offer
the 'extra discount'. Digitaalriver took care of the discount manually.

Upon further investigation, I found deep in the C Drive the link that should
have come up (the one you listed below). Ummmmm. I'll look closer next
time I upgrade. Cheers

Thanks for you help!

For most customers Microsoft Money 2005 Online services have expired on Sept.
1st, 2007 as per the Online Services Policy you would have accepted upon
installing or initializing first intial use of the product, this is why you
are receiving the nag advising you to upgrade. If you download an upgrade to
the new Money Plus version you will receive $10.00 off the price. To partake
in this offer you will need to visit
http://www.microsoft.com/money/upgradeoffer.aspx and follow the directions
for purchasing the software online. One you download the software you will
be given a valid activation key and a link to download the software via a
single *.exe file which you can burn/copy to a blank CD once downloaded. You
can also choose to purchase a backup CD or extended download service for an
additional fee. If pruchasing online is not your thing, simply vist your
local software retail outlet (ie WalMart, BestBuy etc..) and purchase the
boxed product. You may not receive the additional $10.00 off however you
should most likely receive a mail-in rebate depending on the Money Plus SKU
you purchase.

Take care,

Default MS MONEY 2005

Hello, My version which is currently up to date is giving me a problem.

Seems that Money is not allowing me to connect to my broker and download
current prices etc. Yet, my checking account etc at my bank is ok.

The message tells that 2005 has expired and I must upgrade to a newer version.

I do not use any of the Microsoft web pages for this purpose, including MSN.
I do not have passport activted either. Whats with MS being a nerd and
blocking or expiring my copy of MS MONEY that I paid for.

In addition, I get a nag screen saying I can get an additional $10 off if I
upgrade. So, I try.. and I get a screen where I have to buy thru Digital
River and no $10 off and no CD. I must have a cd and do not in any way want
a download upgrade.

Any ideas??

Many Thanks
