Evidently, the import of M04 set it to Advanced already.

I am getting about 17 transaction lines with the form turned on.

I have the following lines gobbling up space at the top:
Title
Menu Line (File, ...)
Navigation line with large icons
Menu Line (Home, ...)
Submenu Line with Tabs
White space

Truely a waste of screen space.

The navigation frame at the left essentially duplicated what is at the top.

I guess the screen layouts were outsourced off shore.

In any event, thank you for the suggestion.

Change Account Settings -> Register Detail. The choices are Essential (a.k.a. useless)
and Advanced. Essential was added a few years ago when Microsoft started dumbing
down Money for the masses that probably wouldn't buy this program anyway.

OK -- how do I do that?

Almost 1/3 of my screen is wasted on blank space and bloated menus. I get
about half that amount on my screen (21 inch too).

Thanks.

Make sure you're in the "Advanced Register" mode. It's been a long time since I used
M04, but I don't recall its register looking signficantly different than the current advanced
mode register. I get about 45 entries on my screen with the transaction form visible.

Default Money 2008 Register

I have converted from M04 to M08. The account register page for M08 has too
much noise and not enough entries. I have the fyi stuff at the bottom
turned off and am just using the entries and the transaction form. However,
if I could get the transaction entry window to increase in size (remove
some of the white space above, and so on) so that it looks more like M04 it
would make it much more useful.

Does a style sheet or something like that exist where I can just get a nice
clean presentation of my data?

Thanks, Mike.
