| How do I create a dividend for this investment. The investment is not listed anywhere that I can find. I have done searches and it comes up with nothing. If I try to reuse the name or symbol it comes back saying it is already used. I'm going nuts here. Money did the same thing when I looked into having it track my Savings Bonds. I decided to just stay with the savings bond software the government supplies for free. -- JOHN WHITFIELD "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:88jhmvgkmo24hngm057098a5juaurkofb4[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, J P Whitfield wrote: > > I had deleted the investment so it doesn't show on the drop-down list > > anymore. Then you can get to the details. With Money 2003 Delete should actually delete if there are no transactions. There is probably one or more transactions remaining. |

The symbol is assigned to an investment, not a transaction. Hereare a couple answers to what you may be asking: Do not create the investment again when you enter the transaction. Choose the investment from the drop-down list. If you want to define a new investment, perhaps in the process of entering a transaction, you will need to remove the symbol from the already-defined investment. Go to the details of that investment. Delete the symbol. Then you will be able to reuse that symbol for a new transaction. So do either of these answers apply to your question? |
