| It may also mean they just don't want to support it and/or haven't tested it. Can't say what the truth is here, but Microsoft and the Money team have several vested interests in not supporting combinations they view as obsolete. Can't say as I blame them. | Mike, My post was not directed to your situation. Sorry for the confusion but I was not trying to suggest that you could install M07 or M+ on Win2k. When one looks at system requirements for M2006, Win2K is listed. After> spring.com> wrote: > > Are we talking "system requirements" compatible or "doesn't fall flat on its > > face" compatible? Typically this means the software has features that will not be compatible with Win2K. Do you know of anyone running M2007 or M2008 on Win2K? How can I determine this without going through the hassle of downloading and trying to install? I guess I could try to install it on a test system and see what happens. The other frustrating issue is if one installs M2008, its online services expire in 2 years. Then I find myself having to go through this again! Thanks, Mike |

CD-ROM drive. Internet access (requires an internet service provider (ISP); local and/or long-distance telephone toll charges may apply). Most online features require you to sign-in to Money with your Windows Live ID (email and password). Audio output capability (optional). SVGA graphics card or compatible video graphics adapter; SVGA color monitor with a minimum of 256 colors, capable of displaying 800 × 600 resolution; 16-bit color recommended. For PCs with Windows XP: Pentium II 300-MHz or faster processor (or compatible). 128 MB of RAM. Compatible version of Flash in order to play Help videos. === Didn't go looking for the M07/6/5/4 System Requirements, but the CPU minimum was well below 1GHz not all that long ago. We all know how much Money has changed since M05. <johnbusc[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:1188815836.202366.161520[at]o80g2000hse.googlegroups.com... - quote - > Might it not have less to do with "Win2k" and more to do with the > "machine"? |

In light of the change from prior years' "Money 200x" to this year's Money Plus", renewable subscriptions might not be far off. Regards, JB |

| Durn it ... Quicken 2008 is still compatible with Win2K. Looks easier to learn a new package than upgrade the Win2K to XP and then upgrade everything to Money 2008. I wish Microsoft would just allow one to resubscribe to online services with the package they are using rather than forcing a major software upgrade. Does the EULA allow for installing on more than one computer? Thank you for the confirmation of the W2K being left out. | Argg.... If I read things correctly, Money 2008 will not work with Win 2000! So, Money 2004 loses it online features and cannot be updated! I wonder why my Money 2004 version on Windows 2000 pops up and offers to update?? Quicken? |
