| "Nuking the Bills" did in fact take care of the problem. Thanks for the advice. Otherwise you'll end up with duplicate scheduled payments at the bank: One you newly created in Money, and the old one the bank still knows about, but Money doesn't. |

| Beware that there are some things which that report will not show. Edited series, amount varies, number remaining in a finite series and paycheck tab assignment all come to mind. It's a good place to start, but may not be sufficient for all users. "Josh" <jkharness87[at]gmail.com> wrote in message news:1188731127.131561.315880[at]g4g2000hsf.googlegroups.com... - quote - > 2. I had the same problem upgrading from Money 2006. I found two things> Does anyone have any idea what is causing this, and/or have a work-around? > EggHeadCafe - .NET Developer Portal of Choicehttp://www.eggheadcafe.com helped me: 1. I had customized the home page to have a spending thermometer widget on it. This was causing a lot of computation when first loading the software. 2. I had to use the nuke the bills method. After doing this, the difference was night and day. On the bright side, Money has a special report you can generate and save to excel that shows you all your bills, category splits, etc. Putting them back in was relatively painless (and I have maybe 20-30 scheduled bills and deposits). | Your file may well be a candidate for "nuke the bills". See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=187. Try it with a test copy to se if it will be effective for you. Then start your planning for the recovery if you decide it's worth it.
