Default Re: Portfolio Manager

Honestly, I was going to try that - but I can't get Portfolio manager to do
anything - even with a new file. I'm really stumped. How did you add new
entries? There is literally nothing for me to click on under Portfolio
Manager.

Thanks again Mike but after reinstalling the toolbox and seeing the chart, I
still get only the dow and a couple other of the indexes. When I start up
the money program on my home machine I can get my entire portfolio on the
report section but the portfolio manager still is blank. When I go to the
"Investing Home" page, the portfolio is there although summarized. I think
I'll talk to someone at MS this time as my email MS contact has given up and
has set up a phone call for me. Thanks again for trying.

Did you install the advanced tools for it? I had a similar problem
and that is what resolved it... Here is a copy of the thread where
people helped me get it working.

Note that I top posted through this attached thread, so it is likely
helpful to start from the bottom.

<OLD STUFF HERE
Ok... so here is the deal... The first piece of info about going to
the Moneycentral site was very useful. However, what was heppening
was the ActiveX control was not getting installed. Come to find out,
in Windows Vista you must have UAC enabled to allow this ActiveX
control to instald.

So now the problem is resolved. I enabled UAC, installed the ActiveX
control and then disabled UAC again. Started Money and presto! there
is my historical charts!

Thanks for the help!

Mike

Thanks Mike but no joy as they say. The MS Portfolio Manager shows a couple
of indexes and nothing else. When I shutdown and restart Money I'm back to
blanks. Any other suggestions?

From Internet Explorer try going to moneysentral.msn.com
When there, click on portfolio. It should try to pop up an install
widow for an activeX control. Install that then go back into MS Money
and see if it works.

Default Portfolio Manager

I had been running Money 2004 under Windows XP with zero problems. After the
demise of my computer I bought a new one with Vista installed. I also bought
Money 2007, installed it and using my USB Money backup, loaded it into the
program.

All is fine with the exception of Portfolio Manager that comes up totally
blank except for the correct date at the top of what should be the left
column and the words PORTFOLIO MANAGER at the top of the right column. I've
tried many, many suggestions from microsoft without success. I would really
appreciate an answer if anyone has managed to solve this problem.

Thanks.
