| Thanks for the link, Ken! Well, that's a pain in the butt, isn't it? So much for Money's own guidance about saving to an external source - obviously the program written when floppies and - ooh, exciting - CDs were the only backup medium. Obviously the idea of a USB or external backup drive never crossed their minds. Anyhoo, dusted off the 'old' 1GB USB drive and used that without problem. Money 2008 may solve the problem but I'll hardly blow the bucks to solve this one and only issue for me. This should be part of a free Money update at any rate. Thanks again! | I have installed Money 2006 on Vista machine with, remarkably, few problems. I had it save a daily Backup within a folder in my Documents folder and a scheduled backup to a USB drive with no problem whatsoever. However, I recently purchased a larger USB drive, recreated the Money backup location on it and set Money's backup settings to place the scheduled backup there - but since doing so, when the backup is created, Money interrrupts the process and says - "Money has filled the current Disk, Please insert Backup Disk 2 into the H:\ drive so that we may continue to build the backup." - and I have to cancel the backup. Now patently, Money has not filled the 'disk' (the storage is greater than the last USB drive, and it had room to spare) so what is going on here? Definitely a pain in the butt. Other program storing to the USB have no problem and programs running directly from the USB are fine, too - so any thoughts or guidance? Thanks in advance! |
