| I'm pretty sure that the first time you start Money Plus, it will attempt to open and convert the last .mny file you had open in Money 2007. It will then make a backup copy of your 2007 .mny file, rename it with a .M16 extension (I think) and the go through the conversion process. You're new Money Plus .mny file will have the same name as your original Money 2007 file (but will be in the new Money Plus format). As Bob said, you can always double click on the 2007 .mny file, and the same process will occur. -Gary "Bob Peel, MVP" <bob_peel[at]kiandra.freeserve.co.uk.INVALID> wrote in message news:%23Oev19s6HHA.1900[at]TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... - quote - > To be honest I can't remember. | To be honest I can't remember. From my own install, I think M+ install does it's thing and then closes. To be doubly sure I would navigate to the .mny file that is your "main" file and double click on it. That will start M+ and also remember where the .mny file is located. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | Thanks Bob. Of course I am going to save my "old" mny. files in flash and burn it, too. But if my MM2007 mny.file is on the old place during instalation M+ - My documents - M+ wiil open it automaticly or I will have to do it manually? | You might want to make a copy of your .mny file to a different folder as a safety measure, but all you need to do is install M+. It will delete M2007 for you and once it is installed you can open up your existing .mny file. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | Hello. I am goingi to buy a new version of MM - Money Plus Delux. Now I use MM 2007 Delux. It is working exscellent. I dowload Money Plus to my the second computer (trial) and it is working very good too. The both computers has got VISTA Ultimate 86, 2 GB Ram. So my question is - how to upgrade if I buy? 1. unninstall MM 2007 first and install Money Plus? 2. what to do with .mny file? Leave on the old location (My documets) before instalation or copy it after instalation MPlus? 3. or there is the other way? I would not like lost my date - since 1998 till now.
