Default Re: 2007 Money Issue

Firstly why did you buy M2007 when M2008 aka Money+ is released?

Correct way to upgrade in any version is to install the new version, then
navigate to where your .mny file lives and double click on the file name.
This will start Money and also remember where you found the .mny file.

With Vista there are extra steps. Vista has very strong views about "good"
places to keep data and Program Files is not one of them. You need your .mny
file in Documents/My Documents or anywhere where Vista says you have full
access. As Program Files is restricted if you open your .mny from there
Vista will make a transient copy and when you close, will delete it thus
losing your updates!

First time you run Money under Vista you need to right click the .exe or
icon and select Run as Administrator.

Default 2007 Money Issue

I hope someone can help me here. I previously used Money 2003 on XP. Just
received a new PC with Vista.

I ordered Money 2007 from the Miscrosoft website. It loads correctly and
works fine after install. Once I import my 2003 data or copy the 2003 Money
File over the 2007 Money file I begin to have an issue.

Money 2007 takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to open the file. I can
click bills and calendar but once I click Home it takes another 5 minutes to
get there. Any ideas on what could be happening.

What is the correct way to upgrade from 2003 to 2007? The file is 7mb?
