Thank you for your input, but a more elegant solution
occurred to me. I walked all the way thru the to do list
and deleted the transaction.

Not for Money 99.

File-> Restore of the backup would be the best solution if he has not
already overwritten his backup.

If you delete the statement, does it disappear. In some versions you can go
to the account list and right click where is says 'you have X transactions
to read'. Not sure about Money 99 though
