Default Re: Money Plus Deluxe auto update

Very neat trick. I just downloaded M+08 and saw the same issue in one of my
acocunts. In hindsight, I used to manually download transactions for this
account, but stopped a while ago, and the account evidently remembered some
balance from the last time I downloaded. That QIF import cleaned it up, nd
only had to change the $1.00 to zero to get it right again.

Very nice indeed, I'm impressed.

Two possible ways,
1. Essentially, just do a download to that account, but do not accept any
transactions. Go to the Account List and find the "Transactions to Read"

link. Right-click the link and in the context menu select to delete
statement. Money will report "Money will delete the downloaded statements
for this account. Your next download will not include this statement period.

Click OK to delete these transactions." Click OK and the statement you just
downloaded will be deleted, as will be the last download date. The account
will no longer have a last downloaded icon in the Account List.

2. Open a new Notepad file, paste the following six lines into the file and
save it as "ClearBalance.QIF" in the same folder as your *.mny file. Make
sure that the date is later than the reported last download in the register
you are trying to clear.

Now you can open Money, and select "Import" from the File menu, then click
on "Downloaded Statement". Find ClearBalance.QIF where you saved it and open
it. Money will ask which account (or to make a new account). Select the
account you wish to clear the Downloaded Date from, and click Next, then OK.

Do not continue to the account register yet. Instead go to the Account List.

Follow the steps from above. You can re-use the file on all the accounts
you wish to clear.

Default Money Plus Deluxe auto update

I just installed Money Plus Deluxe last night. I did use Money 2004. In the
'Accounts', my main checking account has a "Last Updated 10/4/2004" and a
Bank Balance $700, (the balance supposedly in 2004) and Adjusted Balance
$1400. MoneyPlus thinks I formerly had automatic Online updating on my older
version but I didn't, I had to manually download a file from the bank and
import it. I hated doing it that way, I like to manually enter ans balance
my accounts. I did go through the set up for online account updating by
clicking the links but it didn't get rid of the erroneous date and balance
showing. I canceled the update feature and deleted the duplicate accounts it
created and still have the "last updated ...2004..." How can I clear it? It
doesn't show in the list of "Accounts currently using online updating".
