I don't know the answer to your question.

I don't know if this is a Money 2004 thing or a UK thing. I brought
up Money 2004, and the Portfolio in Money 2004 works for me.

I would try to get the Deluxe portfolio working at
http://moneycentral.msn.com/stock_portfolio working
using the tips listed on
http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com...orkstatus.aspx

In the process of getting that working, it might get the M04
portfolio working for you.

You might try the microsoft.public.uk.money group if you think it
might be a UK thing.

Cal,

You seem to have answered Mike's problem but not mine which started the
query. Please note, I am a UK user so my investments are all in Sterling.

Not as a consequence of this.

Thanks for the explanation. I have one concern about your workaround. If I
blank out the symbol for my Vanguard money market fund, and then later
download a statement from Vanguard into Money, will I be out of balance with
the downloaded statement?

The workaround I suggest is to blank the symbol in the Details for
the fund and then delete any non-$1 prices from the list. You want
to have at least one $1 entry dated from before you first held that
fund. You could enter a new manual Update with a date from last
century.

Go to Investment-> Portfolio and right-click the fund. Choose
SeeInvestmentDetails. There you can blank out the symbol. You can
optionally add the symbol to the comments or rename the security to
incorporate the symbol in the name. Then, from the Details, click
PriceHistory-> UpdatedPrices-> UpdatedPricesManually.
Delete all of the non-$1 prices. This should not be too difficult
since the Delete button will autorepeat. If you have an older
version of Money, the navigation may be a little different.

This occurred during an update Friday evening that involved a quote
supplier change. I have seen a positive effect, but there is a
negative one that has popped up for some users. It appears that most
MMFs with a public symbol are now downloading a bogus (not $1) price
from the new quote server. If the 7-day annualized yield is 4.8%,
the price is downloaded as $4.80. This results in inflated portfolio
values.

I also use Money 2004. When I downloaded the share prices this evening,
I was able to get to my Portfolio screen, but there was something really
weird going on for me too. One of my money money accounts suddenly had a
value on 12/31/06 of about $30,000 than it should be, and the YTD return of
my overall portfolio went overnight from positive to negative. I restored my
backup from last Friday, and will do without the price update for today. I
hope they fix whatever the problem is soon.

Default Cannot display Portfolio

I have been using Money for years, current version is 2004. I did my usual
download of share prices this evening. After that I clicked the Portfolio
icon but the screen just falshed and wouldn't let me in.

Does anyone have any ideas please?
