| Ok, to be very exacting here, a payment goes from Money to your bank to the payee. Not directly from Money to the payee. And a payment in Money is linked to a record at your bank. The link is a value like this '10293847' and is nothing more than an ID in a database. The only way I know to see these ID values is at the moment you sent the payment from Money to your bank, a list is displayed. Your bank will be able to verify the payment better than Money can. In Money, an e-payment will have the status 'Cleared' (or Reconciled) when your bank acknowledges the payment. "Acknowledges the payment" is the key here, it means the bank got the instruction from your Money client and processed it. It does not mean the payment reached the payee. That is as far as Money takes it in the payment processing cycle, because there is no means for a payee to acknowledge back to the bank, and the bank to acknowledge back to your money client, that a payment was affirmatively received. For that proof you need to talk to your bank. In my experience, banks differ in how they are able to prove this. - quote - > Thanks anyway, that was completed b4 I inquired. > "Retired Coal Miner" wrote: > > It is linked back to your bank, a.k.a the bill pay provider. | I'll take that in the spirit of your original post. And if you want answers from people who might know, it might help to ask using some, well, not professionalism, just plain old readable English. I don't need your appreciation to feel like I've contributed more than my share here. | Generally a smug comment such as yours wouldn't dignify my reply but I really didn't appreciate your comment! I typed how I felt to type and if that displeases you perhaps you have some issues. I was requesting help using a program with which I am not familiar so I was seeking assistance from those who are more knowledgeable not from those looking to take cheap shots at my abbreviated writing style. If you don't like that use some professionalism and keep it to yourself because more than likely you are the only one that cares for your kind of non comical commentary. | It is linked back to your bank, a.k.a the bill pay provider. The bank I use has this documented in their bill pay terms of service and disclosure. But if I were you, I'd start by calling your bank and ask them. moneydilemma wrote: - quote - > attempted 2 use microsoft money 2 pay bills my credit card company says they > have not rec'd the payment how can i make sure it was paid in money? | Perhaps you will have 2 call the service provider 2 find out how 2 tell? I mean, seriously, how hard is it to type to or too or two?
