| Wouldn't let me merge any accounts. Looks like this POC will only let me copy and delete some 1500 entries from one account to the other. I deleted the other duplicate accounts and didn't need the backup copy. When you disable online access and set it up again, I expect you> how do I have an account that is not set up for online access when if I set > up for online processing all 3 accounts and 4 when the new account is > created become 'online access' and no longer eligible for merging. will have 6 accounts from the original 3 before you merge. Remember you have that extra copy/backup so you can undo the changes if you don't like the results. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message > news:icfhc3df5d04vau1rlguhs9nr5q11ctur0[at]4ax.com... > > In microsoft.public.money, John Barnes wrote: > > > > I had my account number stolen, and the bank assigned a new account number > > > and transferred all activity, so the account, online, looks identical, > > > with > > > all activity from both accounts shown in the new account. | Also, since online is determined at the bank level, not the account level, how do I have an account that is not set up for online access when if I set up for online processing all 3 accounts and 4 when the new account is created become 'online access' and no longer eligible for merging. | The new Money record that was set up from the update procedure (the one with only the post new account activity) was set up with the account number xxxxxxxxxxxx9999 instead of the account numbers I have set up in Money for the other 2 accounts with this bank 9999999999999999. When I change the account number for the account with the account history I want, which format should I use. I would disable those accounts for online access. Then delete the new account. On the old account, change the account number to that of the new account. Then set up for online access. Expect a new account to be created, and merge that. Merge is between an account not set up for online access with an account that is set up for online access. |

| I had my account number stolen, and the bank assigned a new account number and transferred all activity, so the account, online, looks identical, with all activity from both accounts shown in the new account. In Money, I changed the account number to the new account number hoping that it would check the new account number and see the activity from both accounts and handle it cleanly, like online. No such luck. Money has set up a new account with the activity post new account and has the balance forward as the amount at time of account number change. Online and Money now don't match. I tried to merge the accounts in Money, but it says there are no accounts to merge, even though now I have 2 accounts with the same account numbers. How can I merge these accounts, or do I forever have to live with 2 accounts for the same account because of some Money anomaly? |
