after doing a search for this msvcr80.dll problem in this newsgroup, I
have uncovered others who have this same problem - obviously a bug in
the program. See
http://groups.google.com/group/micro...576a5d759b6e17
I was likewise able to delete the investment performance section from
my home page and that resolved the problem. What suddenly caused it,
I'm not sure, other than perhaps that I entered a larger number of
stock transactions at one time than I normally would.

I don't know why it was showing 3 replies from me - I don't have any
problem signing on and accessing other pages and I have now set up MS
Money to log in and go directly to my Bill reminder page. All other
sections of the program work fine - it is only when I go to the home
page that it pops up this msvcr80.dll issue and then upon reporting
(or not reporting) the problem to Microsoft, it crashes the program

Did you have a problem replying (I see three replies)?

It may be file specific. Have you tried testing a new file or the sample.mny
file?

If those also fail (even without a Passport), then you may want to try
reinstalling Money.

If they work fine, try adding your original Passport to the new file, to see
if it specific to that Passport. If that fails try creating a new Passport
(Windows Live ID) to see if it is a general problem with sign in for Money
2007 on your computer.

Can you think of anything else that may have changed on your computer?

If none of the above helps, you may need to contact Support.

I should also comment that when I try to sign in with my usual name
and password, a box pops up that normally doesn't pop up and says
"working..." and a blue bar moves across and once that has finished,
the little green lights continue like normal and I get signed on. If
I quickly move away from my home page, it seems I can use most of my
account, but as soon as I move back to my home page, it seems to find
something there that causes the msvcr80.dll to appear and then as soon
as i close that box, the program closes itself. Is this all due to
these updates? (I am able to get to my portfolio page and it did seem
to update the latest stock price changes)
Thanks,
Mark

Ever since this problem has occurred, when I try to sign on, it brings
me to my MS Money home page, but then shortly afterwards it pops up a
message indicating a problem with msvcr80.dll and after sending the
report to Microsoft, it crashes the program. This was working fine
before whatever they are doing started. I tried to leave the email
address and password blank and sign in directly without access to the
online features, but it keeps popping up a box asking me for my liveID
password. How do I get around that??

Thanks,
Mark

If you have trouble signing in with LiveID/Passport, click to work
offline and try again later. For other possible problems, try later.
The status message will be updated upon completion.
