In XP, you can do that by going to your Money install folder and right-clicking Sample.mny, and choosing Open. Go to Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings and set the (GeneralDisplay StartMoneyWithThisPageOpen:Accoun tList.Close Money. Then open the problem file once or twice. It should open to the account list. Hopefully things are going at normal speeds. Then Tools-> Settings-> HomePageDisplayOptions and Remove the Investment Performance module. If you still have a problem, remove everything. If the problem goes away, you can add things back until the crash does not happen. Add back in the other things you want on the home page. Let us know which was the problem module. Now this may not be the problem you are having, but it will be worth a try. If it does not help, there are some other things to consider. - quote - > > > > > > I'm running XP Home > > > > > version. So are you saying "When i go to settings and Receive AccountUpdates..., i am only prompted to set up a new MS Live ID"? What does that mean? - quote - > I'm running XP Home > version. | I also have been having this same problem w/money 2007. I'm running XP Home version. Even if I put Explorer in offline mode I still get the constant updating. Money will not let me enter any of the downloaded info I have already for my accounts. As it is I now have a use less piece of finacial software that I acquired because i thought my old Quicken 04 was bad news. Any help is greatly appreciated. | Thanks. I would prefer for Money to not do its thing simply because i want to do my banking at home without interference of the downloads. i had it working fine and i don't need anything from the site so would prefer to just turn the whole thing off and work offline all the time. When i go to settings and Receive Account Updates..., i am only promted to set up a new MS Live ID - my info is not currently in there, and there is no place to disable the connection in the first place. Is there somewhere i can just choose to work offline all the time, and then manually import any downloads from my bank? Thank you! | Thank you for the note. I actually already saw this - but it doesn't help me because I don't use online bacnking services and never have. I have never downloaded any updates or anything. I also went through the instructions on that site but it says that if you don't use the online banking services, you should not have to update your accounts and to go no further. So unfortunately, it doesn't help me.
