| Thank you Dick, Brent and David for your responses. While my first choice would still be a version of Money for the Mac, I understand that's not going to happen anytime soon if ever. My solution was close to yours, except the people in the Mac store strongly recommended new software called "Parallels Desktop 3.0" which allows me to run Money and other hard-to-duplicate Windows software on a Windows XP virtual machine on the Mac. No performance or other issues to date, and at least I don't have to employ Quicken's unbelievably kludgy import routine to continue to access my data. Again, thank you very much for your kind guidance. |

| I definitely like your idea better than mine, David, but I believe you are referring to VMware Fusion. http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/ "David Kendall" <support[at]ultrasoft.com> wrote in message news:e7BNyHN4HHA.536[at]TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... - quote - > You could also use vmware workstation for Mac, and not have to reboot. > David |

| You could also use vmware workstation for Mac, and not have to reboot. | If you want to run Money badly enough, you could download and install Apple's Boot Camp, which would allow you boot to Windows, assuming you acquire a copy of Windows. | Some insight you may not have: they are only reluctantly investing meager amounts in Money for the Windows platform with it's hundreds of millions of users. Money relies **heavily** on Microsoft components that don't exist for MacOS and were free to the Money development group. (Virtually all the heavy lifting is done by the MSISAM database and IE.) Bottom line: I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it on MacOS, were I you. | I've been using Money for several years now but have recently bought an iMac computer and am dismayed to find that, of the major personal finance programs, only Quicken is issued for the Mac. Please consider an early issuance of Money for the Mac before I have to return (reluctantly) to the lesser program. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
