Default Re: Quicken Primier to Microsoft Money

I made the switch from Quicken to Money back in 2004 and on the whole,
I think it worked out. One big reason for switching was QIF support -
I have my own data conversion programs that generate QIF, and when
Quicken stopped QIF support, I moved.

I have found Money easier to navigate - easier to look up history,
track down payees, transactions, etc.

I've had some problems, but in many respects Quicken to Money is like
going from the frying pan to the frying pan. Don't expect the world
to be a whole lot better, but it probably won't be much worse either.

Both these produts are now what one would call "mature" and the
feature difference is pretty small.

I think Nathan was talking about Quicken Support not Money Support. Quicken
charges.

The purchase of Money includes unlimited tech support -- must be an earlier
version you're using?

Hey Ben,
The problem exists with the downloading of financial data from my checking
account, it gives me an "error recovery" explanation and does not download
any new information until the recovery is fixed.

No, I have not contacted tech support becasue they charge you $24.95 per
their website. I did however read through the newsgroups and troubleshooting
techniques in order to solve the problem, which did not work.

Default Quicken Primier to Microsoft Money

I have started to have problems with Quicken Primier 2006 and am
contemplating the swicth to Money. Has anyone made the switch from Quicken
to Money and regretted the move?

Thanks in advance
