Never really heard that before. Maybe it's more prevalent than I assumed,> one, views bank web sites as competitors with Money. esp. after reading the other thread about the fellow in the mid atlantic who is having troubles finding a bank offering direct services for no fee. Banks requesting a usage fee drives users away from using Money and Q and -- in theory from bank's point of view -- to the bank's website. Whereas the savvier Money users just find a bank that offers the service at no charge. I know in my case, I've effectively eliminated usage of the two credit cards I hold that don't offer direct services to Money. Notably there's even one -- US Bank -- that wants 5.99 per month to be able to sync their CC with Money. Attention, US Bank, I've been routing all my charge card business to your competitors. |

| I'd pay for it **every** year. (Indeed, skipping M98 and M05 and some freebies along the way, I've paid for every version since Mv2.) I'd pay more than we're are asked to because of the value I place on it. Yes, I'd sure like to see some more development done to make it a better (not just more dumbed-down) product. But those of use true believers can only carry them so far. Where would PFM software and online banking be without Money/Quicken? Tough to say. Certainly the competition has not been great for the competitors. The banks now think they are in competition with Q/M, and Microsoft, for one, views bank web sites as competitors with Money. Where would we be if Microsoft had been allowed to buy Intuit? I'm glad to have Money today. I am ambivalent about its future. | Money ActivePlusLiveX#? Probably depends on what the Next Great Microsoft Buzz Word is. I don't think their heart is really in it and your post epitomizes why. They don't give us much. We complain. They sell it for, from their point of view and with some justification, next to nothing. And lots of people complain that it's too much. They don't make much money at all on the product. And then we wonder why their heart isn't in it. All in all, it's kind of a sad situation. | People at Microsoft. I think that I'm not alone here, but I feel a little sick about, once more, being "forced" to spend, once more, for your product. This 10$ discount for actual users is insignificant. What whould be next year. Money Plus Plus? I'm sorry but It's the way I feel. |
