Why can't installer add MS software to DEP exclusion list?

I'm having a similar issue except my process doesn't crash. It just hangs
when viewed from task manager and I never make it to the "welcome" screen.
About 5 MB of data is loaded into memory and then nothing else. I'm
running on XP, and I've installed Money 2007 without any issues. I've tried
the DEP suggestion, but there was no difference. This is occurring with both
the Deluxe trial version and Home & Small Business version. Any ideas?

non-Microsoft software and even Money 2007 works fine with DEP but not Money
2008 Plus I'm not sure.

I previously ran Money 2007 Premium with no problem. I installed Money
(2008) Plus Deluxe Trial and upon launching either Money Plus or Insights,
it crashes. I restarted the computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Money Plus
Deluxe Trial but it still crashes upon launch. During the first
installation, I let it uninstall Money 2007.

I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium. Below is the error report. If the
problem is specific to the trial, I can wait to buy the boxed retail
version. If anyone has any ideas on why it is crashes, please let me know.
