Default Re: 1st Payment in Debt Reduction Planner Always Wrong

Dustin,
Try reseting the plan. I am not sure where it is in Plus but this is where
it is in 07.
Go to Tools> Settings> Planner Settings> Reset Debt Plan.

Default 1st Payment in Debt Reduction Planner Always Wrong

I'm having an issue with the Debt Reduction planner. This happened in
Money 2006, and now in 2008 as well.

I have a credit card that I want to put into the debt reduction
planner. I enter it, including all of the required information such
as interest rate, credit line, next payment date, etc... The debt
reduction plan looks right, except the 1st payment is almays
$10,000+.

For example, I have $16,110 in the account. I tell the debt reduction
planner to pay $400 a month with no "one time" payment, $0 estimated
spending, and payment frequency monthly. When I see the payment
schedule, the first payment is $13,378.00 and then the rest of the
payments are $400.

I have tried using a "target date" instead of the monthly payment goal
option, but the same thing happens. No matter what I try I can't get
that first payment to be anything less than $10,000+

Any ideas?
