I'd bet what they can't afford is answering question along these lines from
customers like you. That's the support that really costs them.

The info came from VanKampen. My account with them has many issues. The value
drops to zero every other day and created a new account for each holding
which is just stupid. Anyway they said that they could not afford to support
both Quicken & Money and now that I think about it I don’t remember if they
said fees or not. I probably made the connection to “it costs to much” to
something like the Microsoft driver certification fees.

Actual Quicken charges the fee for their QDF format and Microsoft still
supports QIF which is not fee based. Microsoft is actually not charging
whereas Quicken is. I see some banks charging a $5.95 [at] month fee if you want
direwct connect with Quicken, no fee if using Money. Your facts may be
incorrect on the fee thing.

Unfortunately the money strategy is to tweak a few things and not touch all
the other stuff that needs work in order to keep the money coming in every
year from people like me that are hoping they make it better. The update they
did to Money 2007 a little bit ago messed up a bunch of stuff namely how
entries come in from my bank if they even come in anymore (wink wink nudge
nudge). And then on the back side M$ charges financial institutions to work
with Money thus screwing the consumer into cherry picking financial
institutions that work with MS. Every year with these worthless updates to
the software that they charge money for as if it is fresh code pisses me off
more and more.

Hello. I have used MM 2007 Delux. It is fantastic. Now I know everything
about my finance. I see it is a new version - Money 2008 Delux. Will buy it
or not? What is the difference? I have got VISTA Ultimate, 2 GB Ram, Radeon
