Default Re: 401k Balance Not Right

I have the same problem . . . sort of.

I changed from a previous version of Money to 2007 Deluxe. The import
seemed to go well (all payees, accounts, etc., transferred with no problem).

When I check my paycheck distribution, it records the money transferred
to the IRA account; however, when I go to the IRA account, there are no
transactions recorded. The earlier version of Money did this with no
problem.

What's going on?

Should be fairly straightforward. If you track your payroll
deposits, your 401(k) contributions are a necessary deduction (or
transfer) to get the payroll check to come out right.

There is more than one way to do it. Best is to add transactions to
add the deposits into the cash/contribution transactions.

If that is more than you want to do, then you could change the
account settings to not track cash/contributions.

Default 401k Balance Not Right

My company just got around to starting a 401k (about time!). I added
the account to Money but... it didn't work so well. It went ahead and
downloaded the data from Fidelity but now it says my account balance
is $0.02. I guess that's literally my two cents worth...

I guess the problem is that there's no cash transaction showing the
contribution being made to the account. There is, however, a cash
transaction showing the purchase of the mutual fund. Do I need to add
the cash transaction by hand? Will I have to do that for every single
contribution?

Thanks,
Bill
