| I have this exact same problem. I can't believe I can't find any comments about this on either the IE7 sites or the Money sites. | I'm not aware of any way to run both IE6 and IE7. If Cal's suggestions don't work, have you tried the following: - a new file or the Sample file to see if it specific to your data file - temporarily disabling/unistalling other "security" software. What do you have installed? - "Clean booting" your computer (to eliminate other "start up" programs that may be conflicting) - Completely removing and Reinstalling Money -Mark "Michael" <Michael[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C6AA1607-5CD2-4E20-A798-A0F3CB8B3D75[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I can try it but have my doubts since this is a program crash and not just > blocking me from internet updates and such. > Is there a way to run IE6 AND IE7 on my computer so I don't have to keep > installing and uninstalling IE7 every time a new idea comes up for > resolving > this problem? > Thanks! > Michael > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Michael wrote: > > > > After installing IE7, Money 2006 launches, I can sign in, but at my > > > first > > > attempt to access my accounts or do anything, I get the following > > > message: > > > We're sorry, but > > > Microsoft Money has experienced an internal error and will have to > > > restart. > > > > > The error details are: AppName: msmoney.exe AppVer: 15.0.0.513 ModName: > > > autoupdate.dll ModVer: 15.0.0.513 Offset: 00009c84 > > > > > Microsoft confirmed that the conflict is between Money and IE7. | I can try it but have my doubts since this is a program crash and not just blocking me from internet updates and such. Is there a way to run IE6 AND IE7 on my computer so I don't have to keep installing and uninstalling IE7 every time a new idea comes up for resolving this problem? Thanks! These may not help, but would be worth a try:> attempt to access my accounts or do anything, I get the following message: > We're sorry, but > Microsoft Money has experienced an internal error and will have to restart. > The error details are: AppName: msmoney.exe AppVer: 15.0.0.513 ModName: > autoupdate.dll ModVer: 15.0.0.513 Offset: 00009c84 > Microsoft confirmed that the conflict is between Money and IE7. In IE7, I would go to Tools-> InternetOptions-> Security-> TrustedSites-> Sites list and uncheck "Require server verification... ". Then in the trusted sites list I would add these: moneycentral.msn.com fdl.microsoft.com passport.com passport.net login.live.com g.msn.com money:// Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox may be in Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced. |

| What version of Windows? Have you tried running Money with full Admin rights so that it can do its update? -mark "Michael" <Michael[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:0396C3CB-DD1C-443A-A7E8-A11FA0CD19DB[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > After installing IE7, Money 2006 launches, I can sign in, but at my first > attempt to access my accounts or do anything, I get the following message: > We're sorry, but > Microsoft Money has experienced an internal error and will have to > restart. > The error details are: AppName: msmoney.exe AppVer: 15.0.0.513 ModName: > autoupdate.dll ModVer: 15.0.0.513 Offset: 00009c84 > Microsoft confirmed that the conflict is between Money and IE7. | After installing IE7, Money 2006 launches, I can sign in, but at my first attempt to access my accounts or do anything, I get the following message: We're sorry, but Microsoft Money has experienced an internal error and will have to restart. The error details are: AppName: msmoney.exe AppVer: 15.0.0.513 ModName: autoupdate.dll ModVer: 15.0.0.513 Offset: 00009c84 Microsoft confirmed that the conflict is between Money and IE7. If I uninstall IE7, Money works again but fails if I re-install IE7. NO WAY TO FIX THIS? Michael |
