I don't think having the spinoff shares be the same should be a problem. But
isn't this a merger? Which Larry already did? If so, then doing a
TransferOut should be all that's necessary.

I know you can transfer the BLS to the ATT DRIP account. I also know
you can spin off shares as a distribution. But I don't know if the
spinoff shares can be the same stock symbol as a preexisting stock.

Perhaps others can offer suggestions.

Hi Chris,
Yes, I have a separate "account" listed for each investment in Money 03.
The actual stock for each company is in a dividend reinvestment program held
by the respective companies. Let's say for example, I have 20 shares of ATT
and had 100 shares of BLS. When I did the merger on Money, it created 132.5
shares of BLS. I was wanting to have those 132.5 shares added to the 20
shares in my AT&T "account" listed in Money. Does that make sense? Thanks
for your help!

Account? Had you set up separate accounts for each investment? Where
are they held?

Default AT&T acquistion of BellSouth

I own stock in AT&T and BellSouth and have each account entered including
several years of reinvested dividends. I'm using Money 2003. How do I
record the AT&T acquisition of BellSouth? I tried entering it as a merger,
and this yielded the correct amount of BellSouth shares but did not combine
the accounts. Thanks!
