You want to read about File Virtualization in Vista.
http://windowsconnected.com/blogs/je.../12/19/86.aspx
is one place.

It does not seem to me that it would affect your keeping your *.mny
and *.mbf on that virtual drive.

This is an interesting observation that I would like to know more
about. I, for example, run Money (and the Money file) in a Truecrypt
container. This is of course encrypted and I have always assumed the
only Money file stayed in the encrypted container. Does running Money
this way (encrypted removable drive, without administrator log in)
allow Vista to create a rouge copy of my Money file which could then
be easily recovered?

You really don't want to do that. You should be sure that your Money
and backup files are moved to a spot that you will have full
privileges to, such as Documents/MyDocuments. If they are in a
place like ProgramFiles, Vista will create an impermanent copy of
the file for the user to use, unless the user explicitly
right-clicks at launch and choose RunAsAdministrator that time.

Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox is in
IE Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced.

Right-click the Money icon and choose RunAsAdmistrator to let
updates happen. Then reboot the computer. Check that the Money
2007 version is 16.0.*.1303.

Default Money 2007 on XP and Vista

I have money 2007 on my XP computer and puchashed a latop with Vista.
Insalled Money 2007 on Vista. I canot retore a backp file from money Xp to
Money Vista. It wants to restore it into a difernt path address. It tells me
path not valid. Xp puts it in program files and Vista wants to put it in
documents. Can I change these paths and how do I do this
