I'm also an X-MBNA customer, and can confirm that BoA does not allow
direct updates to credit card only customers, BUT there is another
option you failed to mention. Stop doing business with them! There
is no shortage of banks offering credit cards.

BoA will not support auto-downloads if you only have a credit card
account. This is normally the case for all of us x-MBNA customers.
It will not work by design. Been there, talked to them, been told
that. :-(

Options are manual downloads or open more accounts at BoA and make
sure they are all cross connected to "you." If you open more
accounts, depending on what you open, be sure to ask about their
Fees! :-O

Actually I did not do this since I have never set them up in the first
place. However I have found my answer. and hopefully this may help others:
Bank of Amercia does not allow you to direct download via online services to
Money if you are only a credit card holder of theirs. You need to have a
checking account with them to do this and they charge $9.95 Bank of America
told me. Yikes, they need to get their act straight. All my other major
Credit cards do not handle customers like this. I by accident found the 800
number on the accounts update page where it said it was unsuccessfull for B
of A because I was not enrolled for that account. Now I know I never can
either. B of A may soon be out of my life.

I get the impression that she hadn't had it working before the update. I
have a former MBNA card and ever since the BOA takeover I cannot get the
connection to work. At one time there was an entry for FIA Card Services or
something similar but I don't even see that now that the MSFT update is
complete ...

Since that credit card is listed as direct (not third party) access,
you should not have disabled online access for that particular
account for this change.
http://www.microsoft.com/money/bankD...id=7392&type=1

If you restored yesterday's backup (perhaps to another name rather
than the default), I suspect you would find that this account still
works from within that file.

Default Bank of America Credit Card accounts won't set up

Hi, I have Money 2007 Premium. I waited until the July 19th update was
complete. I have had no trouble except for trying to set up online updates
for my 2 Bank of America Credit Cards. I am in Ohio so I use the Bof
A(allexcept CA, WA, &ID). I imput all my info for both cards correctly but
when it tries to update I get a box saying the sign in with your financial
institution failed. I am able to successfully saign on to my accounts via the
web. Any ideas
