How about the following for starters:- open source database file that would allow us to open the *.mny file within Access and verify or tweak data to fix integrity issues with the data. This would remove the need to do stupid things like delete an account just to re-enter every transaction. - following the above, the ability to access payee information within the *.mny file by either adding or removing data from within Access. - ability to archive payees in some type of tree menu in order to make navigation simpler - when allocating the asset classes of a fund, the ability to select "international" - ability to do a true archive of data in order to safely reduce the file size of the *.mny file. - verify what actually happens when you nuke the bills transactions (for curiosity sake) - Fix MSM so that the full functionality of Money can be had from a web-based gui, so that I can move all my Money data to a MS hosted server for on the road access. - Allow one to import and export to the home inventory - Likewise with FFB airline miles - Integrate payees with MS Outlook |

| Sure. See http://umpmfaq.info/WishList.htm. Of course, most of that stuff I wanted to see as much as a decade or more ago. I long since stopped breathlessly awaiting any of this each summer. The best we can hope for is probably the "rave feature" that got Q so many review points last fall: adding a filename field to transactions to point to, say, a .PDF or scanned document. (Boy, I'll bet that'd take hundreds of person-years to design, build, test, and document.) That seems to be how features get added to Money any more. Q invents a feature and gets the magazine reviewers talking about it. M decides it's important, even if it isn't, and adds it. | Any news on a pending release of MSM2008 and potential features? This is usually the time of year that I look forward to all of the speculation out of Redmond. If past history serves me right, this should be the year for a "significant" upgrade. |
