It's a matter of versions, and I doubt there is a newer version for> way? you. You did not specify your version, but I doubt you are using one of the US versions. - quote - > On 16 jul, 11:38, Cal Learner-- MVP <via_newsgr...[at]please.tnx> wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money,webbureauwrote: > > > > With a invoice of $ 4500 > > > I have to pay $491,85 of sales tax... > > > > If I make a discount of 9,853%, the sales tax will be $443,39.... > > > > any other solution ?? > > > I assume your version is not VAT aware, so you are working around > > that. > > > You could enter 4500*89.07% ~ 4008.15 as the pre-tax number. > > If you apply a 12.2712473% tax on that. | Cal, I´m not good with mathematic... :-) But... to do this, I have to make a lot of calculation in each invoice. correct? Is not more simple to just enter the sales tax manually in the salex tax account? You could enter 4500*89.07% ~ 4008.15 as the pre-tax number. If you apply a 12.2712473% tax on that. You should get 4500. Add a note that the final price is the quoted price. |

| Bob, thanks for the help... but I already tryed that solution... the problem is that this solution don´t work because with this discount, we reduce the sales tax too.... look. With a invoice of $ 4500 I have to pay $491,85 of sales tax... If I make a discount of 9,853%, the sales tax will be $443,39.... any other solution ?? :-) Regards On 13 jul, 12:34, "Marilyn & Bob" <Priv...[at]nospam.please> wrote: - quote - > Give a discount of 9,853%. Hello all. I have a question. I've beem using Microsoft Money for several years, and now I start to make invoices from him to charge my clients. In my country, we do not charge the customer for the sales tax. At least, not in the invoice. When we set a price for a project, for example: 4.500, money calculates sales tax (in my case, 10,93%) and add them to the final price, creating a total value of 4.991,85. The problem is that I DON'T WANT THIS! I want to charge the client for the original price (4.500). I tryed to make a discount of 10,93%, but them money calculates this discount BEFORE applying sales tax... and then the sales tax is wrong (in that case, change to 438,09...). Is there anyway to solve this?? I want to track the sales tax, but can ´t do this... If I make a discount, the invoice will be with the correct value, but sales tax will be wrong. If I not make any discount, sales tax will be correct, but the final value of invoice will be wrong... Excuse for the english, I´m Brazillian. |
