The Morningstar website has some portfolio analysis tools that you> always been disappointed with is its portfolio analysis features, in > particular because I invest in mutual funds and care about things like > exposure to international markets, different industries, etc. And I also > want meaningful support for rebalancing. > So there are two questions I have to this group. I've been playing a bit with their Portfolio X-Ray tool which gives insight into industry exposure, asset allocation and even provides your individual stock exposure and overlap within your funds. You can create a portfolio to analyze on their website by importing your Money portfolio. The tool is available to members of their subscription service. However, I found that if you register with T. Rowe Price you can get free access to a version of this tool. Jeff |

| Hello All... I've been using MS Money for years and one thing that I've always been disappointed with is its portfolio analysis features, in particular because I invest in mutual funds and care about things like exposure to international markets, different industries, etc. And I also want meaningful support for rebalancing. So there are two questions I have to this group. First, does anyone have a solution to this - a third party application or website that does this? Second, assuming nothing good (or good & free, even) exists - I might want to write my own application to do this. Would anyone else be interested in using it? Is this something people care about - or does the level of breakdown provided by MSMoney sufficient for normal people? Thanks! |
