| No, I don't have that option. The closest I can see is "Replace downloaded payee names with user-altered names when available". It is already checked but I can't find anything in the Help about it Thanks Richard "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:u2vbmv4sq11g932u7p1bjf5hg59nhleuoq[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Richard Speiss wrote: > > I have always had this problem downloading transactions from my Bank. | I have always had this problem downloading transactions from my Bank. They insist on downloading the transaction in the form: COMPANY ABC 12345 where 12345 is the confirmation # for that month. Of course the next month the confirmation # changes and Money can't match the payee again. e.g. COMPANY ABC 67890 I have talked to my bank many times and they insist that it is not their problem and that they can't download the information as a separate field anyway (what kind of programmers do they have? This seems like a very simple matter, even if they have to include a new option on the download list so it doesn't mess up older s/w) Is there any way in Money to tell it to only look at the first n characters of a specific name for matching purposes? e.g. Only match on the first 7 characters (this would have to change by payee of course) Thanks Richard Speiss |
