| The secret is to get the TWO downloaded transactions to match up as both halves of ONE Transfer transaction in Money. Most people do this by editing the first downloaded item to a Transfer:[account of transaction not yet downloaded] and then making sure to match the second downloaded item with the Transfer entry the first edit created in the second account. Others will have to give you more details. I don't mess with the downloaded transaction thing. Too much pain, too little gain. For the ones already entered, I'm not so sure, again because I don't mess with downloaded data. I'd like to think you can go and edit one of them to a Transfer (which, as you note, will coble up transactions in the far account). Then you'd have to go in and void or delete the other downloaded entries in the second account. | I added a new bank with saving and checking accounts. I asked for 3 months of past history. The checking transactions that show TRANSFERS from saving to checking are automatically assigned "household". I have tried to change the category to "Special: (section) Transfer from Savings" and that creates an additional removal of money from the Savings account. How do I re-categorize the checking account entry to NOT be an expense? Thanks, -- ads |
