| Sorry I didn't respond--missed your posting. As noted elsewhere in the thread, you should readily be able to find M07 Deluxe for much less than $49.95. Especially around now as M07 may well be going away soon if the past is any indication of a release schedule for an M08 if there will be one. I wish I could recommend download purchase, but it still has entirely too many pitfalls for all too many users and most of those come down to reinstallation. It seems fewer people lose the CDs than lose all of the data necessary to download/reinstall. You might be able to EBay or similar an M05, but there are some potential license issues there and there is an almost certainty that, once installed, you will have problems opening your existing M05 (actually probably M05.1 but you don't really have any way to know this) file and will be right back here with that problem. | Thanks for the advice, Bob -- that is very helpful! I can't believe I lost the CD, but then we have an 18-month old daughter now so I guess I can be happy I haven't lost more than that. ![]() Thanks again, Karena |

Money 2007 Deluxe is $24.99 at Amazon. Add an item that is at least 1¢ (I> "Essentials" won't allow me to open my old files, and I don't really have > an > extra $49.95 at the moment for the Deluxe version. usually get a 2-pack of alkaline batteries) and shipping is free. Or get 2006 standard for $17.95 + shipping from one of their partners. -- Peace, BobJ - quote - > Is there a path of "more resistance" that will get me back up and running? > ![]() > "Dick Watson" wrote: > > The latter is probably the path of least resistance. | Thanks for the response. But wouldn't it make more sense to buy the downloaded version, so that I could actually reinstall it if I find myself in this predicament again? I thought about taking the path of least resistance, but apparently "Essentials" won't allow me to open my old files, and I don't really have an extra $49.95 at the moment for the Deluxe version. Is there a path of "more resistance" that will get me back up and running? ![]() "Dick Watson" wrote: - quote - > The latter is probably the path of least resistance. | The latter is probably the path of least resistance. Please buy a retail copy at a store with a CD rather than the downloaded version. | Hi -- I purchased Money 2005 on CD as a promo thing with tax software (I think it was 2-3 years ago). Unfortunately, I recently re-formatted and re-installed everything on my computer, and discovered that I have since managed to lose the installation CD. I tried downloading the trial copy and opening up my files, but since I didn't purchase it with a Passport, it doesn't upgrade it to a regular version. Is there any way to get a new copy, or do I need to purchase the current version at this point? Thanks! Karena |
