But, if you go into it with proper due diligence, it might be what you want. It may not be what you were needing. It may be that your file is getting bigger with quotes. That said, Archive does what you describe. Most people don't get the result they hope for, but it will remove the older non-investment transactions and adjust the balances to compensate. The "archive" file is a copy of your file as it existed at the time of archiving. The continuing file will have those transactions removed. |

| I'm using Microsoft Money Version 8 and have about 15 years of entries in my account. I no longer need anything over about 7 years old. How do I delete these old entries without messing up the current balance? This is obviously based on the beginning balance from 15 years ago. All of these years are taking longer and longer to back up the file. |
