| Thanks again for the information. I previously opened a case with MS (6-12 months ago) and they keep telling me they are working on the problem (why do I not believe them?). -- Neil "STinGA" <STinGA[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:38AE7B7D-8F98-4B78-BE87-8A7CF37E4F0A[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Not sure about this, but according to the text of the 1000 MSN error code > it > may be a matter of resupplying the logon id and password information again > for the FI. | Not sure about this, but according to the text of the 1000 MSN error code it may be a matter of resupplying the logon id and password information again for the FI. The provider error text -1 is not documented anywhere that I found, at least as a "provider error code" so you may want to open a support ticket with Microsoft. I did look up the Pentagon Federal Credit Union in the provider list and the information for it indicates that you must be running at least Money 2005 to work with that FI. Here is the text from that lookup from the Money web site ... "Financial Institution Details ------------------------------------------------ Pentagon FCU Main: http://www.penfed.org/indxhome.htm Additional Information and Services ------------------------------------------------ Statements Direct Services* are the fastest, easiest way to connect with your financial institution and have your statements automatically downloaded into Money. * This service is provided by a third party provider, not your financial institution. It is only available if you have Microsoft Money 2005 or later. You will need to use Microsoft .NET Passport in order to access your account information. Your financial institution may offer an alternative means of downloading statements and transactions from their web site into Microsoft Money 2004 and earlier. Please contact them for more information. " Hope this helps!! As an aside, after 3 days of not updating, my accounts that use CashEdge finally updated!! | Thanks for the explanation, I have been using Money for about 10 years and never saw the link. I checked and for all of my accounts except for 1, there is no MSN financial institution listed. I have accounts with a stocker broker, banks and credit cards which download transactions and balances just fine but there is no information shown other than listing the account. The one that does have information is the one that does not work - the MSN error code is 1000, provider error text -1, and the FI is Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Any explanation would be helpful. -- Neil "STinGA" <STinGA[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F6A2E299-F1B3-4DFD-B83D-8475A202F63E[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > In Microsoft Money on the "Review update results" screen, at the bottom > right > of the screen click on the link "Check MSN Network Status". > There on the "MSN Money Network Status" web page, scroll toward the bottom > and click on the link that says "go to the Account Status page." > There on the "My Accounts Technical Support -" web page you will see your > accounts and the "Provider Name" field will reflect the service provider > for > the accounts that do not use direct connect with the financial > institutions, > such as "CashEdge" and/or "Yodlee". > If you click on the MSN Error Code link it will take you to a page which > lists the supposed meaning of the error codes. | In Microsoft Money on the "Review update results" screen, at the bottom right of the screen click on the link "Check MSN Network Status". There on the "MSN Money Network Status" web page, scroll toward the bottom and click on the link that says "go to the Account Status page." There on the "My Accounts Technical Support -" web page you will see your accounts and the "Provider Name" field will reflect the service provider for the accounts that do not use direct connect with the financial institutions, such as "CashEdge" and/or "Yodlee". If you click on the MSN Error Code link it will take you to a page which lists the supposed meaning of the error codes. By supposed I mean that you can't necessarily believe what you read there. For example, error code -3002 says: "The data provider was unable to collect your account information. This issue may occur if the website where account information is held was down or unavailable." I have seen -3002 many, many times and there is never a problem with me being able to connect to my accounts. I believe that the problem actually lies in the Microsoft interface between MSN Money and CashEdge or Yodlee. Sorry for the long reply but I have plenty of time on my hands since I can't get my account information downloaded and do something productive like see if I have any money left in my accounts! - quote - > "Remove ABCD from Email address to reply" wrote: > How does one know which service is updating which securities or accounts > -- > Neil > "STinGA" <STinGA[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:51F01DB0-0DB2-49F0-815F-FB6DF6B13180[at]microsoft.com... > > Accounts that use cashedge have not updated in three days. > > > Anyone else experiencing problems with updating accounts that use cashedge > > as the third party data provider? |

| How does one know which service is updating which securities or accounts -- Neil "STinGA" <STinGA[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:51F01DB0-0DB2-49F0-815F-FB6DF6B13180[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Accounts that use cashedge have not updated in three days. > Anyone else experiencing problems with updating accounts that use cashedge > as the third party data provider? |
