I tried this again...I guess I never tried deleting the account after I> same FI as another account, and Money states if I remove one account I must > remove the other...this would be a killer. "blanked" it. So, I blanked the FI on the "wrong" account, then deleted the "wrong" account. I was then able to reassign the Active Statement to the "correct" account. I then setup online services for the FI I blanked, and re-setup and downloaded the account I had to delete... Seems like there should have been an easier way... Thanks for giving me stuff to try. I never did try the change the currency option... Thanks, Jason |

Financial Institution (FI) for the *wrong* account in account settings. Do that in the Account Settings/Details, which you can reach by right-clicking the account name on the Account List. Don't just change the FI. Blank it. On the Account List, if there are transactions to read for the wrong account, right-click TransactionsToRead, and then click Delete Statement. Import the OFX file. Money should ask which account to use. Tell Money the statement should go onto the right account. Put the FI for the *wrong* account back. If that does not fix it, see method 2 of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910214/en-us where you temporarily change the currency of the wrong account. |

| I am downloading an Actice Statement from an FI. On the first download I incorrectly selected the wrong account. I downloaded a second tim and the transactions automatically go into the incorrectly selected account - I am not asked to select an account this time. I have not found any way to force Money 2006 Deluxe to allow me to disassociate this Active Statement from the wrong account or associate it with the correct one. Any ideas? Thanks. |
