| Bill, Cal, Thanks for all of your responses. After many hours of trial and error manipulation I have solved the problem. Seems M2007 has made a change to investment accounts from M2005. My stocks were all in the "Investments to watch" account in M2005 and thus transferred during the update to the same account in M2007. When I made up another investment account and entered in the same stocks I got all the data to show up. It turns out that there is a "watch" setting that was triggered in M2007 that wasn't an issue in M2005 (i.e. Right Click: See Account Settings: checkmark on "watch"). If this setting is checked then Money senses that these are stocks being watched and NOT investments, thus running totals are not displayed. Not an unreasonable approach for M2007 management of investments, just not understood by me. It may also be an option in M2005 and wasn't set as a default so I never had to deal with it. I am now smarter. | Bill, I changed to a custom view and then back to a standard view when this problem first appeared (right after installing M2007) I then decided to do a "standard repair". No luck. I also attempted to enter a new stock "qcom" with a fake buy. The stock entered correctly but only showed the "last price" quote per share and the "change" but again no other data comes up. | I have seen some strange behavior when trying to change the columns in the Portfolio Manager in M2007. I suggest that you first try some of the standard views using "Select View". If these don't work, then: - make sure that you have good backups - try File> Money File Repair> Quick File Repair or Standard File Repair Let us know if this helps. -- Bill Becker |

Yes, I get my updates to current (delayed) market prices and they are posted> > All my stock transactions continue to show "last price" and "change" . What I am not getting are the running totals of my stocks, i.e. total purchased minus sold, total value (pos or neg). Although I have gone in the "view" and removed the columns and then added them back in thinking that should trigger the algorithm to do its job. No luck. |

| Cal, I changed the IE to include SSL 2.0 Money version is 16.0.*.1303. Updates are happening in my other accounts i.e. checking, credit cards. I assume that Money is saving the files to my documents folder. Did a search on *.M* and my backups were in documents. Don't know what other ext to look for to determine what money files are going where? I ran MSmoney 2007 using right-click: run as administrator. No difference. All my stock transactions continue to show "last price" and "change" . No other colums are showing data (like market value for the total of my purchases, etc.) "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, wurth51 wrote: > > > > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > > > In microsoft.public.money, wurth51 wrote: > > > > > > I upgraded from MSMoney 2005 to 2007. If they are in a place like ProgramFiles, Vista will create an impermanent copy of the file for the user to use, unless the user explicitly right-clicks at launch and choose RunAsAdministrator that time. Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox may be in IE Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced. Right-click the Money icon and choose RunAsAdmistrator to let updates happen. Then reboot the computer. Check that the Money 2007 version is 16.0.*.1303. |

| I upgraded from MSMoney 2005 to 2007. All appear to have gone well except I can't get my portfolio to show me any totals. It just shows me Symbol, Chart, Name, Last Price and Change. It won't show me Market value, Gain, Purchases or Realized gains. I open up the stock (using plus sign) and see that all of my buy/sell transactions are still there. HELP! NOTE: these stocks were showing fine in MSM 2005 and were transferred during the install into MSM2007. |
