| thanks I rebooted it appears to not of solved the issue. However, in my feeble way I started trying to figure out why it was not backing up to my flash drive when I discovered in my documents many back up files of my money program. Checking dates several had the same date, which is understandable as I tried backing up several times. It seems for some reason, the back up process has changed to backing up to my documents instead of my flash drive. I checked the settings and it seems the flash drive is selected for destination, however it creates a new back up file in my documents. Some of the back up files there have the latest information some dont. I deleted some of them because they were duplicates, I am also creating more "my money" files. I currently have my money, my money2, 3, and 5, Not sure how this happened. Have not figured how to elminate them other than to do so out of my documents folder. So this clears things up maybe you can help. I even renamed the file on my jump drive to see if a new file would be sent there. for some reason it appears if I have checked things correctly (and Im not sure of that) my back ups are not being sent to my jump drive even when sometimes the light on it flashes. Help? and thanks "ronnn12345" wrote: - quote - > thanks will try that, I had rebooted the system. but will try again. I would try opening the Sample.mny file from your Money install folder a few times. If that works, I would make an extra copy/backup of your Money file and then try a repair. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902466/en-us > |

| I have been using this for some time. Today when I entered my data for transactions and went to exit it supposedly did an auto back up. However, none of the new data was saved, on the back up drive or my HDD. I re entered the data again, this time did not back up to my secondary backup, just closed the program, went back and my entries were there, closed and backed up to my external jump drive as normal, went back to the program and none of the entries showed, opened the program from my jump drive and same thing none of the new data was there. any suggestions, thanks ron |
