Default Re: How to add new categories

Thanks for the help. I figured I might need to upgrade but I was not sure. I
don't need all the fancy bells and whistles but I do want more than to just
look at my bank statement. I can go to my FI for that info. I guess I will
have to return Essentials and get the upgrade.

Essentials (MEss) is probably too essential to allow you to add categories.
See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=188.

Default How to add new categories

I just purchased Money Essentials. I just downloaded my recent transactions
from my checking account. I am putting all transactions into the proper
category but I am finding that I want to create my own specific categories. I
cannot figure out how to do it. It doesn't seem like Money is letting me do
this. Also when I click in the transaction it doesn't give me the split
transaction option like I was using in the trial version. How do I do the
basic creating of categories? That is my main frustration.
