If you can get the file to load fine on another PC, I'd think that the "
temp copy" on your PC was damaged - or money didn't close it properly. How
about copying that good file into another folder on your PC and give it a
different name - like " Money 2007.mny". Then open money and open that new
file from that location. Or browse to that folder and double-click on the
Money 2007 file. The objective is to NOT have money open a file with the
same name as the " bad copy". If that works, save "Money 2007" in your
'normal' Money folder and forget about your bad file.

If you are running XP, locate Sample.mny in the Money install
folder. Double-click that file in Windows Explorer. See if Money
opens successfully for that file.

Also, locate your latest backup file (*.mbf). Make an extra copy of
that onto other media such as a USB flash drive. That will be useful
if your hard drive crashes.

You could start a restore of the backup file by Double-click in the
backup file in Windows Explorer.

Cal, I did try to run the install program on that computer and it still hangs
up when trying to open the program. Thanks for the reply. Any other
suggestions?

Have you tried inserting the Money 2004 install disk and running
setup?

Default uninstalling 2004 premium

can you tell me how to uninstall Microsoft Money 2004? For some reason, the
program hangs up on trying to load the file I use. I've been able to load the
program and open my file on another computer, but I need my main computer.
I'd like to uninstall the program and all it's components so I can reinstall.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
