Help. thanks way (if you have no USD history to save) is to go into settings and make sure every last currency setting is in USD. Then make a new money file. Close and reopen Money. Make sure it is in USD. Now add you USD account. You might have to play around and "hide" your old money file, too. Money can be devious! Money is incompetent at managing multiple currencies in one file as a user would expect to be done- there are more problems than solutions. If you also have Peso accounts the only way to keep your sanity is to have separate money files, one for each currency. Been there (with others on this group) and it is The Way. To select the currency file, instead of opening money, make shortcuts to the respective .MNY files and rename the shortcuts like Peso and USD. Names for the MNY files should also be like peso.mny and usd.mny. Double click on the shortcuts to the files, instead of the money program, and all will work within that currency as expected. For backup archive, make subdirectories like peso-backup and usd- backup, and while using the respective mny files, set the backup defaults accordingly. |

| Hi, I just upgraded to Money2007 and moved to the US. I was able to successfully add new bank account, Washington Mutual, from the list. However when I tried to setup the online services I get an error saying: "This account uses a different default currency than these statements. To add statements, go to this account's settings page, be sure it uses Advanced Register, change the default currency, and then provide your sign-in information again." I checked the account and indeed it was in Philippine Peso but I made the changes. I did everything it asked me to do but I keep on getting the same error. How can I solve this problem? Help. thanks |
