Default Re: MS money premium 2007 stock option

Mr Learner: I also have the same problem with options. They do not show up
in the portfolio and they are not counted in the portfolio investment returns
calculations. Several people have commented on this but we have not gotten a
good explanation or a fix. The same problem occurred in Money 2006. Please
address this issue. I have posted before and not gotten a reply. For
investors that use options Money just doesn't work correctly. I ahve tried
all your suggestions to no avail. Please give us a definitive answer or ask
the programmers to give us a fix.

Thanks

I tried but the problem still exists.
I also tried to delete the whole investment account.
Deleting the whole investment account and adding everything again fix
the problem temporally. When I closed and restarted ms money, the
problem came back.

I have the same problem and have posted the same question in another thread.
Closed option positions are not shown in any performance reports and in the
Portfolio Manager. In Portfolio Manager clicking "Show Closed Position" does
not help. Only closed stock positions are shown. Trying Customize also did
not help.

I called MS Support and they said that closed option positions will not be
shown in the reports and they are shown only in transaction report. Does not
sound right. Any resolution to this problem would be highly appreciated. If
this is not resolved all performance reports will be wrong for option traders.

In the Portfolio view, try setting
ChangePortfolioView-> ShowClosedPositions.

It does not address your reports, but it should show performance
info and let you right-click the investment to go to the investment
info. report.

Perhaps you could reset or Customize the "Performance by investment
type" report to improve things. Let us know what you find out.

Also, if you don't already have the Portfolio shortcut at the top of
he screen, I suggest you add it. Click Shortcuts....

Default MS money premium 2007 stock option

For me, completed options(calls and puts) do not work properly. Under
"investment transactions" under investing tab of MS money premium
2007, when I do the right click on current or completed stocks and
current options( ones that I still hold), there is a link called "go
to investment" However, when I do that to completed options( no
position in my portfolio), there is no "go to investment" link. In
addition, the completed options are not included in the reports
"performance by investment type" and "performance by investment
account." All transactions are shown in "investment transactions", but
Ms Money seems to not recognize options one they are completed.
Please help!
