It is not a general principle. That varies with product.

The EULA for the product applies.

Default Using MS software on two computers.

In a response recently to a query Cal Learner - MVP stated that one is
allowed to install software in one computer and also into another portable
computer used by the user of the first computer. While it may be inferred
that the response was specific to MS Money 2007 Deluxe in that case, is this
a general principle?

I have Money 2001 Standard, which is installed as part of MS Works Suite
2001 in a PC I bought in that year. I have now acquired a new laptop
computer, which I intend to use when away from home from time to time. I
have read through the 2001 EULA but have failed to see any dual use
dispensation. Perhaps this evolved more recently.

My query is therefore, am I allowed to install the MS Works Suite 2001
software (including Money 2001) in the new laptop on the basis that both
computers will not be used simultaneously?
